Los Angeles Photo Blog: Bunker Hill and Financial Districts

This is going to be more of a photo blog as I already did the write up for this area in an April 2013 post
http://j2travelguide.blogspot.com/2013/04/angels-flight-and-knoll.html.  However some of photos didn't come out good when posted online as they were taken using a 2007 cellphone camera.  Just to give you an idea how ancient that year is in terms of digital imaging, the very first Iphone was launched just as 2007 was about to end.

So after writing that blog last April 2013, I headed off to Los Angeles to that same location and took photos using a newer camera. (relatively newer as it is a 2010 Point n' Shoot)

Almost there...
A word of caution: This area has a large population of homeless people hanging out at the park  I've never seen them bother anyone though.  But I wanted to inform you in case you are not used to seeing them. You might be better off visiting other Los Angeles tourist attractions eg Hollywood.

Well anyway, back to regular programming.

This should have been your typical obscure downtown LA park
but a movie launched it into superstardom.
This time the adjacent Angels' Flight train is operational!

50 cent fare for a 50 second ride.
the train's interior follows the contour of the train tracks.
you can ride first at the bottom, then pay when you get to the top
Awesome view of downtown Los Angeles

Since that was one very short train ride, I had time to explore the neighborhood.

And if you get hungry or thirsty....

The skyscrapers of the Financial District
Isn't it really cool how modern Los Angeles sits so near 1920's LA?
this map on a street post would help guide you.
